Procedure to apply Angolan Passport
- Download the application Form
- Collect all necessary documents. Complete the Passport application form
- Visit the nearest Passport office or Angolan Embassy or Consulate General of Angola
- To apply for a passport, an individual must submit a passport application to the Migration and Aliens Services along with their Angolan identity card and birth certificate.
- Men of military service age must present their military service registration card when applying for a passport, although they are not required to have served in the military to obtain their passport
- Fingerprints are taken when applying for a passport. This takes approximately one week to process.
Due to the fingerprint requirement, no one is allowed to obtain a passport on behalf of the applicant. Every Angolan citizen is issued a passport in their name - Children under the age of three are usually included in their parents’ passports and applicants aged 16 and under require the consent of a parent or guardian
- Sometimes the processing time may take up to six (6) months, possibly longer if there are unforeseen difficulties.
