Required for New Passport

Required for Underage Passport

Required for Laissez – Passer

- Copy of Permanent Residence Card (Green Card)
- Copy of Old Eritrean Passport
- If old passport is lost – police report is required
- Processing Fee for lost or damaged passport
Procedure to apply and obtain Eritrea Passport
- Obtain the passport application form either in person or online. Complete the application form
- Collect the all required documents with photographs
- Locate the nearest passport office or immigration office in Eritrea or mail to the application
- Pay the applicable passport fees.
- Submit the completed application form and all the required documents and fees to the passport office.
- Wait for the processing of your passport application. This can take some time, so applying well before any planned travel is advisable.
- Some countries may require applicants to provide biometric data such as fingerprints or facial recognition. Be prepared to comply with any such requirements.
- You will be notified to collect your passport from the passport office. Then you can collect your passport
Processing Fees of Passport
- Processing Fee for 18 years and older – $200
- Processing Fee for Underage Applicants – $150
- Replacement Processing Fee for 18 years and older $100
- Replacement Processing Fee for Underage Applicants -$75
- Processing Fee for Laissez-Passer – $25
Passport Validity
The Eritrea Passport validity is 5 years or less.
