What are the Documents Required?

  • Resident identity card (KTP) or a certificate of moving abroad
  • Family card (KK)
  • Birth certificates, marriage certificates, marriage books, diplomas, or baptismal certificates (Documents in the form with Name, place and date of birth, and parents’ names)
  • Indonesian citizenship certificate for foreigners who obtain Indonesian citizenship or submit a statement to choose citizenship in accordance with the provisions of statutory regulations.
  • Name change determination letter (for those who have changed their name) from the authorized official
  • Identity card (KTP) of the father or mother or a letter stating that they are moving abroad
  • Family card (KK)
  • Birth certificate or baptism certificate
  • Parents’ marriage book or Marriage certificate
  • Name change determination letter (for those who have changed their name) from the authorized official
  • Old regular passport for those who already have a regular passport
  • Children from the legal marriage of an Indonesian father and a foreign mother
  • Children from the legal marriage of a foreign national father and an Indonesian citizen mother
  • A child born outside the legal marriage of a foreign national mother who is acknowledged by an Indonesian national father as his child and this acknowledgement is made before the child is 18 years old or is not yet married
  • Children born outside the territory of Indonesia from Indonesian citizens as long as the country of birth grants citizenship to the child.

  • Birth certificates, marriage certificates, marriage books, diplomas, or baptismal certificates (Documents in the form with Name, place and date of birth, and parents’ names)
  • Indonesian citizenship certificate for foreigners who have obtained Indonesian citizenship or submit a statement to choose citizenship in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations
  • Letter of determination of name change (for those who have changed their name) from the authorized official;
  • Old regular passport (If already have a regular passport)
  • Passport of Indonesian citizen father and/or mother
  • Birth certificate from the Representative of the Republic of Indonesia.

Processing Fees of Indonesian Passport

  • Non-electronic ordinary passport (48-page) – Rp. 350,000
  • Electronic ordinary passport (48-page) – Rp. 650,000
  • Passport expedited service(same day completion): Rp1,000,000

Procedure to apply Indonesian Passport

  1. Collect the required documents
  2. Fill in the data on the application provided at the application counter
  3. Submit the application nearest embassy or Passport office.
  4. Applications for ordinary passports must be submitted by Indonesian citizens inside and outside Indonesia
  5. Ordinary passports include electronic ordinary passports (e-passport) and non-electronic ordinary passports.
  6. Ordinary passports are issued using the Immigration Management Information System.
  7. Applications for ordinary passports can be submitted manually or electronically by attaching the complete required documents.
  8. For children who are Indonesian citizens born outside the territory of Indonesia, applications for new passports must be submitted to the Minister or Immigration Officer at the Representative Office of the Republic of Indonesia.
  9. Applications for ordinary passports for prospective Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) who reside or are located in the territory of Indonesia are submitted to the Immigration Office in the same province as the person concerned’s place of residence.
  10. Applications for ordinary passports can be made individually or jointly through TKI recruitment agencies.
  11. Wait for the immigration officer to check the completeness of the required documents.
  12. After the required documents are declared complete, obtain an application receipt and payment code from the immigration officer.
