What are the Documents Required?
Documents Required
- National Identity Card (original) and two (2) copies
- House list (original) and (2) copies
- If below 10 years, Birth Certificate (Original) and 2 copies\
- Original and two (2) copies of Certificate of Completion of Basic Marine Life Safety Training from Inland Waterways (for seafarers)
- Company Registration Original and Copy (1 set) along with Form (6/26) Original and Copy (1 set) (Business Applicants)
- Original and one (1) copy of invitation letter from the concerned school (if students)
- Workers’ Free Foreign Worker Registration Card (Form-2) (Foreign Employment)
- If the dependent is a foreigner, letter confirming payment of return air fare. and evidence such as a marriage contract
- Original copy of religious membership card and original and copy of township choir approval (monks and monks nuns)
- Original and one (1) copy of Overseas Allowance of the concerned Ministry (National Employees)
- Original and copy of Jail Release Certificate if convicted.
Processing Fees of Passport
Procedure for applying with Green Channel
- MoU workers; religious organizations; cultural exchanges; Problems of seafarers traveling abroad with permits, those traveling abroad for medical treatment, those accompanying doctors, travel agencies for tourism development; Studies etc. can apply soon with passport green channel.
- Complete and accurate information must be submitted to those visiting on government matters as per the concerned ministry
- Officials of Director General level and above of concerned Ministries should sign and approve
- And through these Ministries, after applying in writing to the Office of the Chairman, Myanmar Passport Issuing Organization, it will be issued as a green channel without the need to make an appointment by making an online appointment.
- Ministries to be submitted to the President’s office are those related to the subject of his visit.
- And through these Ministries, Chairman/Secretary, it will be mailed to the Myanmar Passport Issuing Office (Naypyitaw).
- With this approval from the Head Office, verification approvals are pre-registered at the Myanmar Passport Issuing Office (Rangoon). The online appointment system does not provide an appointment to come to the office, but the Chairman’s office will send it to the office of the Myanmar Passport Issuing Board (Rangoon) as soon as possible, so please contact the concerned Myanmar Passport Issuing Office.
Procedure to apply Passport online
- Visit https://www.passport.gov.mm/
- Click “To Apply”
- Choose your Passport issuance office (Region)
- Select the people you want to apply for a joint passport
- For all applicants, enter the email that will receive payment and appointment confirmation
- Click the Continue button.
- Fill all the information in profile(1). Personal information (2) and information of family members and siblings can also be filled online If you have difficulty online, you can manually fill this information in the passport application form and submit it to the passport issuing office.
- After filling the information, click the Add to List button to register the applicant who has filled the information. Then proceed to enter the information of the other applicant.
- After filling in the information for all applicants, click the Review and Submit button at the top right corner of the screen.
- If checking and correcting each one individually, tick in front of the text ‘Information checked and all correct’.
- If there is a discrepancy, click the Edit button to correct the discrepancy information. If everything is correct, click Submit Form.
- After filling the personal information, the payment should be made.
- Once the payment is made, the system will automatically set a date for regular appointment seekers to visit the passport issuing office.

FAQ
1.How to pay for passport?
Payment can be made via KBZ-Pay or MPU Bank Card from all Myanmar banks. However, the MPU bank card must be the bank card used in the concerned bank to use e-commerce.
2. Will the system provide the date of office visit if applying with green channel?
The system does not provide a date for visiting the Passport Issuing Office.
