GREETINGS IMMIGRATION HEADQUARTERS, BATAM ISLAND INDONESIA.
I AM A RESIDENT OF THE ISLAND ON AND OFF FOR MANY YEARS, AND RECENTLY ACQUIRED A VISA PERIOD UNTIL 2025.
THIS IS THE BACKGROUND:
WHILE CARRYING OUT THE FINAL DETAIL FOR MY VISIA, I WAS SENT TO YOUR OFFICES IN SEKUPANG AS A LAST STEP. WAS AT FIRST REFUSED, DUE THE OFFICE SUPERVISOR DEMANDED MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND THAT MY PASSPORT WAS NOT SUFFICANT TO GAIN THE REGISTRATION SERVICE. ADDITIONAL PAPERS WERE PROVIDED, BUT A BIRTH CERTICATE WAS THE ONE THE OFFICE WANTED. AGAIN THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE WAS ASKED FOR.
I HAVE LIVED OVERSEAS FOR SIXTY YEARS, KOREA, VIETNAM, SAUDI ARABIA AND INDONESIA. THE VALID PASSPORT WAS ALWAYS ENOUGH, AND A BIRTH CERTIFICATE NEVER REQUIRE. PEOPLE TRAVEL AND WORKING OVERSEAS FOR YEARS DO NOT CARRY THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATES AROUND, BUT ONLY PASSPORTS. PLEAE ADVISE YOUR OFFICES OF THIS..
I BELIEVE THIS MATTER HAS BEEN RESOLVE, AS I WILL RETURN TO BATAM CENTER IMMIGRATION IN A FEW DAYS.
