When I arrived in Indonesia, I paid extra for the ability to extend my visa in Indonesia when I arrived, it seemed easy, I just needed to go to an immigration office 3 days before it will expire and extend.
Now it’s time to extend because it will expire soon. It’s a big problem for me because the Labuan Bajo immigration office tells me that their computer system is being upgraded. I came Monday and they said maybe Tuesday so I called Tuesday and they said maybe tomorrow, Wednesday I went to the office again and they said maybe this afternoon or tomorrow, or Friday.
I wanted to take a tour of Flores, and fly out of another city, but I ’m stuck here waiting. If I leave my passport with them, I can’t even get on a plane to fly back here because all airlines require a passport to check in here. I can’t even get a hotel because they all want to see my passport to check in. I don’t know what to do except wait. It’s very poor planning for the Indonesian immigration department.
