Procedure To Renew Passport In Singapore 1

Passport renewal procedure in Singapore

Singaporeans hold the world’s second-most “powerful” passport, according to a worldwide ranking for passports. Singapore ranked joint-second with Sweden, with a visa-free score of 156, whereas Germany took the top spot with one point ahead in the 2017 Passport Index. A Singaporean passport is valid for 5 years. For the renewal of a passport that has a validity of nine months or less, the new passport will be valid of five years plus the remaining validity in the old passport. However, if a passport is being renewed with a validity of more than nine months, it will be valid for five years and nine months.
