About Algerian
Morocco and Western Sahara are to the west, Tunisia to the east, and Libya to the south. You’ll find the Mediterranean Sea at your north, with Mali and Niger to your south.85 percent of the country is covered by the Saharan region, which is nearly entirely devoid of people. Mount Tahat, in the Sahara, is the highest point at 9,850 ft. Niger, Mali, and Mauritania are to the south; Morocco and Western Sahara are to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea is to the north.
There are six Saharan provinces in this area, but most of the people and major cities are concentrated along the fertile coastline area known as the Tell (or hill), which is located in the southern part of Egypt.
According to the 2000 census, the population was 31,193,917. About 80% of the population is Arab, with the remaining 20% being Berber. Only 1% of the population is European.
Why Algeria is famous?
- The north of Algeria has a Mediterranean climate, whereas the Sahara Desert occupies over 90% of the country’s land area.
- Wadi Djerat in the Tassili mountain (Tassili n’Ajjer) has rock art designs and carvings.
- Hammam Maskhoutine’s travertine walls and hot springs. Rhinos, tigers, giraffes, and bizarre human figures all appeared in rock art.
- Algeria’s coastal region is popular with tourists from the region during the summer months, and there are a number of beautiful beach resorts.
- Algiers, Oran, and Annaba have a lot to thank the French era for. There are many parts of these cities where you’ll question if you’ve actually arrived in France itself.
