Visa Requirements

  • Completed and legible visa form. Available at Panamanian consular offices.
  • Note from the Diplomatic, Consular or International Organization Mission, requesting a visa, indicating:
  • Applicant name
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Diplomatic rank or post
  • Original passport of the country of origin with enough validity to last for the stay in Panama

Types of Visas

Diplomatic Visa:

For bearers of diplomatic passports issued by countries which have diplomatic relations with Panama, and bearers of passports issued by International Organizations of which Panama is a member, who are Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General, Director General, Deputy Director General, Department Director or equivalents.

Official Visa:

For bearers of official or service passports issued by countries which have diplomatic relations with Panama, and bearers of passports issued by International Organizations of which Panama is a member, who don’t belong to any of the aforementioned posts.

Validity:

Diplomatic and official visas will be valid for one year.

Courtesy Visas:

Courtesy visas can be granted to ordinary passports at the request of Diplomatic Missions of countries that have diplomatic relations with Panama and are duly accredited in the country where the Diplomatic Mission or Consular office operates.
