The Sierra Leone High Commission in London sometimes issues Emergency Travel Certificates to Sierra Leoneans resident in the UK and those with dual British/Sierra Leone nationality. These documents are not valid for return travel to the UK. Sierra Leone nationals require a visa for the UK, which can only be issued in a full passport.
Procedure to Obtain Sierra Leone Visa
- For visa processing, apply through Sierra Leone eVisa System.
- Only after online payment and application approval will an application ID be issued. To print and deliver the eVisa, this ID must be submitted to the immigration office. The applicant’s passport, which was used to submit the application, must be present.
- All travelers, including infants and minors, must each get a separate VISA.
- You can only make payments with a major credit or debit card.
- Upon arrival at the terminal, you will receive your VISA once you have been authorized.

Documents Required

- Financial Proof: Show evidence of your financial ability to support yourself during your stay in Sierra Leone. This can include bank statements, pay stubs, or other financial documents demonstrating your ability to cover expenses.
