About Tanzania
Tanganyika merged with the island of Zanzibar in 1964 to establish the United Republic of Tanzania, the largest of the East African countries and, tragically, one of the poorest in the world. You can apply for Tanzania Visa easily.
Tanzania is located east of Africa’s Great Lakes, north of Mozambique, and south of Kenya, with a coastline on the Indian Ocean to the east. The country is bordered by six other African countries: Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia, as well as Comoros and Seychelles.
The country has an area of 945,087 km2, which is roughly three times the size of Italy or slightly more than twice the size of California.

Types of Tanzania visa
1. Single entry visa
- This visa is provided to foreign nationals for the purposes of visit, tourism, leisure, holiday, attending the conference, humanitarian and charitable activities, family visit, health treatment, or any other purpose as defined by the issuing authority. For a single entry, its validity is limited to 90 days.

2. Business visa
Foreign people wishing to enter the United Republic of Tanzania may be granted a business visa for a term of up to 90 days.

- A work contract or other documentation of the task/assignment to be completed within three months; or
3. Transit Visa
This Visa may be awarded to foreign nationals for the purpose of transiting to another location outside the United States for a duration of no more than seven days. This visa applicant may be asked to show documentation of a visa from the destination country and/or an onward ticket.

4. Student visa
Student visas are issued to foreign nationals who enter the country for academic purposes, such as research students, interns, volunteers, EAC students, exchange students (EAC and exchange students are free of charge), and prospective students admitted to recognized and legally registered institutions. This Visa may be given for a maximum of two years.

5. Diplomatic visa
This visa may be provided to a holder of a diplomatic, services, or official passport or Travel Document issued by a recognized International Organization while on official duties, as well as their dependents. It can also be issued to holders of regular passports or travel documents if the Commissioner-General of Immigration and the Commissioner of Immigration Zanzibar so instruct.
