About Ukraine
The largest country entirely within Europe has coastlines on the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov to the southeast. Ukraine is bounded on the northeast and east by Russia, on the northwest by Belarus, on the west by Poland and Slovakia, and on the southwest by Hungary, Romania, and Moldova. The country has a land area of 600,000 km2; it is rough twice the size of Italy or slightly smaller than the US state of Texas.
The country has a population of 41.3 million people (as of 2021), with Kyiv serving as the capital and largest city (Kiev). Ukrainian is the most widely spoken language, but Russian is also widely spoken, particularly in the country’s east and south.

- Ukraine’s embassies and consulates around the world Every foreigner or stateless person who requires an entry Ukrainian visa must apply to the relevant Ukraine Embassy or Consulate at least three months before the planned date of entry into Ukraine.

Documents required for Ukraine visa
- Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from Ukraine. and have at least two pages free of any visas, marks, or stamps. Not to be issued for more than 10 years.
- Signed and printed application form.
- 1 photo
- a current medical/travel insurance policy that covers Ukraine and the duration of your stay. This requirement does not apply to holders of diplomatic/service passports.

Types of Ukraine Visa
1. Transit (B type) visas
- B-type visas are issued when a foreigner/stateless person intends to transit through Ukraine and the transit period does not exceed 5 days.
- B-type visas are issued as single/double/multiple entry visas with a maximum validity period of one year or another period based on supporting documents.
2. short-term (C-type) visas.
- C-type visas are issued when a foreigner or stateless person intends to stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
- C-type visas are issued as single/double/multiple entry visas valid for 6 months or another period based on supporting documents, but cannot be issued for more than 5 years.
3. long-term (D type) visas
- D visas are issued when a foreigner/stateless person intends to apply for a temporary residence permit in Ukraine for a period of more than 90 days.
- D visas are issued as multiple-entry visas with a 90-day validity period.
