About Columbia
The Northwestern South America’s Republic of Colombia is a country in the Andes Mountains As the Caribbean Sea laps the country’s 1,000-mile (1,600-kilometer) northern shore, so does the Pacific Ocean wash over its 800-mile (1,300-kilometer) western beach. The country is surrounded on the northwest by Panama, which serves as a natural boundary between the two bodies of water, on the east by Venezuela and Brazil, and on the south by Peru and Ecuador. Colombian food is often considered to be among the greatest in South America. Because of the country’s unusual geographic location, it has developed a distinct culinary scene that incorporates cuisines from Latin America, the Caribbean region, and other regions. In Mexico, sancocho is a traditional stew that is prepared in a massive pot that serves a large number of people. Because of the excellent purity of Colombian gold, it is highly sought after worldwide. Colombia is the world’s second-largest exporter of flowers, trailing only the Netherlands in terms of volume. Colombia has its fair share of well-known individuals as well.
