Documents required to apply for Taiwan Visa
In general, all kind of applicants require the below document. For the purpose of visit, check the documents required in the below mentioned.
- A valid passport which has validity of 6 months.
- Photograph.
Purpose of Visit to Taiwan
Religious
Credentials of an applicant, applicant’s certificate in religious work, Registration certificated issued by the specific religious organization or corporation.
Business
Proof of evidence of business activities to be held.
Conference/Exhibition
Proof of evidence of documents, invitation letter or proof of exhibition and also Identity card of the applicant.
Employment
Proof of evidence of Work permit.
Student visa:
- Admission permit or enrollment certificate from the institution
- Sufficient fund for education
- Health certificate issued by a hospital and attested by ROC (Taiwan) overseas mission.
- Other supporting documents if it is required when applying.
For Medical Treatment
Letter from the medical institution about the diagnosis and purpose
Sufficient funds to cover your medical allowance (Bank statement or payment plan consented by Taiwan Medical institutions)

Invitation Letter from the person residing in Taiwan.

urgently need a visa to taiwan for a costa rica travel companion. is there a way to process a request for taiwan visa in bangkok where we stay a few days at beginning of our trip? i am USA passport holder and he is Costa Rica passport holder. I wish to find out how to apply a holiday visa to Taiwan for my China friend who had already arrived in Malaysia since 08 Dec 2019.
He is holding a China passport andalso hold holding a Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) visa which expiring in 2026 October.

I would like to know what are the requirements to get a visa to visit my husband’s daughter and family in Taiwan.
Julia is my husband’s daughter. She is married to a Taiwanese citizen. They have a son, James, 3 years old now and we are so anxious to visit them.
James is my husband’s only grandson and he only met him before the pandemic when he was not even a year old.
My husband and myself are US citizens. We both are fully vaccinate and very healthy.
